Nexus have been involved in the design of ASICs used in both the PSION series 5 and the PSION series 3MX PDAs.
We were asked by ARM Plc to help with the system design in the ASIC used in the PSION series 5 Personal Digital Assistants, the ASIC is available as the ARM7100.
Following this, PSION approached Nexus to develop the ASIC employed in PSIONs series 3MX PDA. PSION was impressed by Nexus’ approach and system design capabilities.
The ARM7100 was developed using ARM development tools, and ASIC9MX was developed using a mixture of schematic capture and Verilog synthesis using NEC CB-C8 technology.
